Our biggest pride and joy is our Youth Volunteers who go on to become successful adults. It is even more special when they come back and continue to volunteer with us.
Krista has been a volunteer with the mission since she was 12 years old and started out with assisting with the children for Vacation Bible School and worked her way up to triage in the clinic. She is the daughter of our volunteers Dr. Joseph Gomes, and Dr. Ronie Gomes, and the granddaughter of one of our NANA volunteers Marie Berry. Krista is now in her residency in Tampa through the University of South Florida and came back to volunteer with the mission as a MD! We take every opportunity to show our youth love and cheered her on in our best mission voices! Scroll all the way down to celebrate with us.
