Marcel Aureliio Guzman Vazquez began volunteering with our mission around the age 9 assisting with our students in Vacation Bible School. As he got older, he had a desire to communicate with our volunteers more and put in a tremendous amount of hard work by going to an English class. As a result, he would assist with VBS in the morning, then assist with translating between patients and our volunteers in the medical clinic every afternoon, and even assisted with repairs at the Children's Cancer Hospital. He has never missed a single year of the mission.
Marcel is the son of Celeste Vazquez and Javier Bolanos who are also volunteers.
He graduated from the Universidad American in Nicaragua, on August 16, 2023, with a degree in Architectural Engineering.
Marcel's warm and friendly nature as well as his commitment to service has always been a positive light for our team. He is extremely intelligent and has a truly giving spirit to volunteer his time in any way possible. We are extremely proud of his achievement and cannot wait to see where his future endeavors will take him!
